Kim founded KLM Public Relations, Inc. after nearly 20 years of experience in counseling companies on strategic and product communications. Her strengths include a finely-honed ability to build strong and lasting relationships with top-tier media, to sway key industry influencers by differentiating her clients from the competition and to relentlessly execute strategic public relations programs that have a demonstrable impact on her clients' businesses. Kim also embraces the power of social media to expand her clients’ brand and participates in the daily social dialogue.
For each of her clients, Kim applies a strong business sense coupled with media savvy to put new names on the map or enhance the reputations and visibility of established players. Her experience includes working with brand leaders and emerging companies from both the business-to-business and direct-to-consumer spectrums. Her current and past client roster have included names like Corkcicle, SPARQ Home, Honeywell, Unequal Technologies, Hydros Bottle, Stopper Toppers, Sea Gull Lighting, PlumChoice, Google Voice and Microsoft.
In addition to KLM Public Relations, Kim was also a founding partner at Tier One Partners. For more than 10 years, she worked to build an award-wining virtual agency with focus on the technology and consumer tech industry. Kim was also vice president of FitzGerald Communications in Boston and an account executive at The Weber Group, now Weber Shandwick.
What Motivates Me:
I love products . . .anything that makes life easier and more fun. I enjoy working with companies that have an innovative product and helping them connect and engage with their core audience. To me, it’s about the value the brand, and not just the product, brings to the consumer. Once that connection is made, the sky is the limit to what a brand and its customers can share along their journey.
